By the way, not only are these my favorite, they also happen to be better
than everyone else's favorite bands.)

Sunny Day Real Estate
Very unique sound, these
guys rock. I've got four of their albums, all of which are very enjoyable.
DIARY is probably my favorite.
Do I really have to type
any sort of description? "No" would be the correct answer.
But I will simply say that they are probably the most ahead-of-their-time
band in the world. Kid A and Amnesiac are great, but
OK
Computer is still my favorite.
SHINER
I first heard of these guys
when I was at U of M. They are pretty underground, but not indie
rock. They are best described by my pal and former roomate Aran who
used the term "melodic rock". I've got their two latest discs, Starless
and The Egg. Both are well worth checking out. I can't
wait for the re-release of Lula Divina, which I am told is incredible.

Again, need I say anything?
Pretty much all their albums are must haves. The older stuff is probably
better.
THIRD EYE BLIND - KEVIN CADOGAN
Third Eye Blind was my favorite
band...untill they got rid of Kevin Cadogan(who is my favorite guitar player).
Still, their two albums are also his work so they must be included.
He had a new band called Cousin Kevin,
named after a song by "The Who". Their first album, BULLY FOR YOU
is awsome. However, they just broke up, so now he' must not be doing

My brother owns the same model.
These guys are incredible
musicians. Vocals by Ed Robertson and Steven Page are very enjoyable.
