Grand Valley State University's Gay/Straight Alliance and LGBTQIA Cultural Organization
Our Mission: Out 'N' About encourages interaction with the GVSU community to promote awareness about LGBTQIA issues on campus. All students are welcome to attend weekly meetings to discuss and support events and issues affecting the LGBTQIA and GVSU community. We invite students of every sexual orientation and gender identity to participate in the organization.

How to get involved...
Have a say in your community events by attending our weekly meetings, Wednesdays @ 9pm, in room KC 2270, upstairs in the Kirkhof Center. Everyone is welcome! More details on our calendar. Come to meetings and events, participate in education, make friends and build connections, and help make our voices heard.

The Amateur Drag Show is almost here — Wednesday, October 9th at 8pm in the Grand River Room (KC 2250). Bring a donation of canned goods, cereal, peanut butter, or any other non-perishable food to benefit the GVSU Women's Center Food Pantry, and you'll be draped with sparkling Mardi Gras beads! Donations of money at the door or on the runway are also accepted.
The Big Gay Hayride, our fun outing to a local orchard for corn mazes, cider, and goats, is coming up on Saturday, October 26th. Meet at the Queer Corner just outside the LGBT Resource Center in Kirkhof at 3pm to catch the carpool out to Fruit Ridge Hayrides.
November brings Transgender Day of Remembrance, and with it some amazing speakers: Kyle Watson on November 12th and Dean Spade on November 14th at 6pm. Out 'N' About's yearly candlelight vigil to recognize the deaths caused by transphobic violence over the past year is 8pm on November 20th.
