Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority Inc. supports a variety of charitable organizations as a part of our community service commitment. Women, children and societal issues serve as a focal point for the programming efforts of our collegiate and alumnae groups. It is our goal to collaborate with many campus organizations and philanthropic groups to share the belief in community service and instill a compassion for the hardships faced within our global family. We are proud to say that  we devote alot of our service to our national philanthropies
Breast Cancer Awareness and The Trio Programs.

The Omicron Alpha Chapter has volunteered at various community and philanthropic events such as; "Boo at the Zoo" at John Ball Park in Grand Rapids, The Breast Cancer Walk (2005,2006,2007) at Calder Plaza in downtown Grand Rapids, LAUP Cinco De Mayo festival in Holland, Mi, Helping Hands at Grand Valley State University, Guiding Light in Grand Rapids, and God's Kitchen in Grand Rapids, Mi.
