Congratulations to all of the new baby penguins, also known as the Alpha Iota class! The Gamma Xi chapter welcomed 19 new women to our house after fall recruitment 2007!

Winter 2008

The Gamma Xi chapter welcomes the winter class of four wonderful new girls, the Alpha Kappa Class!

Greek Week 2008!
This year, Alpha Sigma Tau is paired up with Alpha Sigma Phi, Omega Psi Phi, and Delta Sigma Theta!

The schedule for this week is as follows:

Penny Wars- All Week Long

Jars will go out each day at 8AM and will be pulled each day at 5:30 by a member of Student Senate. Friday the jars will be pulled at 4pm to be sorted and counted, and the winner will be announced at the Field Games on Saturday.

-Monday 3-24

Academic Speaker: Mark Hartley
Grand River Room 9PM
LIB 100 approved
Description: Mark Hartley will be putting on an academic program discussing the importance of academics in the Greek campus and community.

-Wednesday 3-26

Greek Jeopardy
Manitou Hall 7PM
Description: The game will be played in Jeopardy format; the purpose of the game is to set up a fun and safe environment for participants and fans to learn more about the history of Greeks and Greek life.

-Thursday 3-27

Greek letter check in & canned food drive
Kirkhof Center lobby 2-5PM
Description: Members of your team can stop by the lobby in the Kirkhof Center to display their Greek Letters or Pin attire with badge. Members checking in are also asked to bring a canned good or non-perishable food item to be donated to a local food bank (God’s Kitchen).

-Friday 3-28

Amazing Greek Race
Clock Tower 3PM
Description: Each team will start the race three minutes apart, and there will be envelopes at each location with six copies of the clue. These clues will be numbered, and none of the clues will require teams to cross any roads and all will be located on main campus. Some clues will be easier than others but all of them will be within reason.

Greek Concert
Grand River Room 7PM
Description: The Greek Concert is a performance event that will pit teams against one another to win points based on entertainment value. Groups will not only be judged on their dancing, singing, stepping, strolling and lip synching, but also on how much the audience likes the act.

-Saturday 3-29

Community Service
Meet in SOC 12:15
Meet at the SOC to get your assignment, and be on the look-out for information about a certain dress code. Come with positive attitudes, open minds, and know that whatever you are doing is truly being appreciated and is affecting the lives of the individuals you are serving.

Greek Olympics
Robinson Field 3PM
Description: A wide variety of fun, physical events taking place on the Kirkhof lawn. Bring out your members, play hard, and have fun!

DZ Casino Night
Grand River Room 7PM
Description: Delta Zeta and Alpha Sigma Phi are sponsoring a casino night to raise money for philanthropy! Greek Week champions will be announced at the event!
