Events

The group will strive to disperse stereotypes regarding Asian Americans through workshops and cultural events in hope of creating an Asian voice on campus. We will work together and unite with other minority student organizations in promoting cultural diversity. We hope to achieve these goals through active campus and community involvement..

2009 R.I.C.E. CONFERENCE
[Realizing and Addressing Issues in our Culture and Education]

Saturday, March 28th, 2009 10am-5pm Pew Campus, Loosemoore Auditorium, Buildings C&D

R.I.C.E. is a formal conference, hosted annually by the Asian Student Union of Grand Valley State University, that provides an opportunity for members of the local community, college and high school students to become further educated on issues facing the Asian society today. Our goal is to promote Asian awareness and an understanding of true diversity of other cultures.

ASIAN NEW YEAR FESTIVAL 2009


Tuesday, February 10th 6-9 p.m. FREE! ALL AGES FRIENDLY! Grand River Room, Kirkhof Center This festival consists of a presentation of the different festivals around the world, some singing and dancing from different ethnicities, a fashion show, free food and much more. Comedian Dan Gabriel will be performing during the show.
