Fall '07 - Winter '08

.1.23.08 ASU's 3rd meeting of Winter 2008 semester --GVSU Sociology professor, Dr. Stuart of GVSU student group, Act on Racism, gave a moving racism presentation to ASU. Next week's meeting will showcase skits from her anti-racism theatre club.

Fall '06 - Winter '07

.12.03.06 ASU Country Dinner -- Members of ASU created authentic foods from countries such as China, Phillipines, and Vietnam at a Potluck.

.09.09.06. Aquinas Networking Dinner -- 10 members of ASU gathered together and joined area Asian students from Davenport University, Calvin College, Hope College, Cornerstone University, etc. to network and meet one another. The event was hosted by the Asian Center.

.09.06.06. First Official Meeting -- The President of ASU, Ehren Shuttringer, spoke to potential members about the importance of ASU. Advisor Connie Dang, and Professor of Social Work [and Founder of the Asian Center] Dr. Douglas Chung were also present. Members learned more about the organization, and afterwards headed out to Boba Latte [on 44th and Divison] for Boba Tea.

.08.12.06. Healthy Asian Games -- Sponsored by the Asian Health Outreach Foundation, Healthy Asian Games was an immense success. Various "countries" competed to promote health awareness among Asians. Vietnam took the cup home that evening. Visit the AHOF Website for more information.
