A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF ADT SECURITY

Honestly, call me naive but I never knew much about home security systems and such. I knew the name ADT but I guess I really didn't understand how the thing worked. Then my boyfriend got an ADT security system installed in his house. When he first told me about it I asked him if it was expensive and he said really he was surprised at how little it cost and how much they provided you with for the cost.

He told me that the alarm system not only alerted you if someone had come into the house through a door or window, but that it could also be set to detect motion in the house, which was good but he has a dog so he doesn't activate that part because he is afraid that the doggy will set off the motion detectors. He said it even sounds if you have a fire or if there is a carbon monoxide leak in your home, which I thought was pretty amazing. He gave me the code to get in with and he showed me how to activate and deactivate the system. He also told me that there is a code word, another thing that I never knew about, in case your home is broken into and the alarm sounds, the ADT people call you and if you don't tell them the code word, then they will call 911 and send help. At first I really didn't understand the concept, but then he explained to me that the reason for that is in case the person who breaks in answers the phone and tells the alarm company that everyone is okay and that they sounded the alarm by accident, they will know if they are lying by whether or not they know the keyword for the system. Just another way to insure your safety I guess. Plus now he said he gets to pay less for his homeowners insurance which is obviously another big plus.

Overall, I can't believe how much safer I feel since he installed this alarm system. With ADT watching over us, I know that I am resting more easily knowing that I am safe no matter what may happen.

A WOW ACCOUNT PROVIDES A GOOD STRESS OUTLET

I got my world of warcraft account a few months ago when I was at school. I found the game online when I was sick and bored, so I decided to give it a try. I got a free trial and that was it, I was hooked. Since I have been home for the summer, I have had a lot more time to play and to build my reputation. Sure, I am not one of those people who never sees day light, and I don't stay up all night to play, but I really enjoy this game a lot and I guess lately with not much else to discuss, I have been talking it up a lot with my friends and family. First I was telling my dad about it, and he decided to get a wow account and then I was talking to a friend of mine that I hadn't seen in a while and she said that a friend of hers showed her a place to buy wow accounts online, and that was it she was hooked.

Now some people like my mother don't deal well with a role playing game like this. She just thinks it is silly, but for those of us who are into it, there is no better game in the world. I have a bunch of friends through wow and I even met my current boyfriend through there. And you will be surprised there are lots of professionals that play World of Warcraft. I have actually met a nurse and a lawyer, both in my local area who play, so it is a very popular game that seems to rope in people from all walks of life.

The bottom line is that life is too serious to not have some fun, and I love role playing because you can be whoever you want and you can do whatever you want, even if it is not appropriate in your real life. That, I think more than anything is what is so attractive about games like this; they give you a break from your own reality and let you be extraordinary, even if only for a little while, and heck it beats all the other things that people are using to escape real life, doesn't it?
