dinner cruises
I have been on several dinner cruises in NY harbor. There is nothing like getting to view New York City at night from a dinner cruise. I am sure that these type of cruises are not near as spectacular as they were when I was younger. The New York skyline was always lit up back then and you could see the Statue of Liberty and the World Trade Center towers and the Empire State building. I really miss those days of getting to see how amazing everything looked all lit up like that. The New York skyline just isn't the same since 9/11 and now they don't even light it up much anymore.
Going on a dinner cruise is a great experience. There is a lot of food and dancing and when you could do it with the incredible New York skyline as your backdrop it definitely made it all the more magical.
I am actually now thinking that this would be a great business, but I am not sure where to really start it up. I mean NYC is not the place, because there is just no way that they will light up the skyline just for me. I am thinking maybe San Francisco or Miami or someplace like that, but I am not really sure that I want to move to start a new business venture. I just think that it would be a relatively inexpensive business to start up. After all, all you really need is a boat, and to decorate it with a dance floor and some tables in chairs. Also, obviously you would need a kitchen, but that would definitely be doable. Or maybe to do it in New York, and instead of accenting the skyline, you could make it more of a theater dinner cruise, or a murder mystery cruise or something to that effect, where the darkness would be part of the ambiance instead of the light.
Well, sometimes my mind just goes with ideas, and I can flip from one idea to the next in a heartbeat. Quite honestly, that is why I type my blogs to keep the ideas flowing until I find the perfect one. Writing helps me hear my ideas out loud, and allows me an outlet so my mind doesn't get so full of thought.
