Grand Valley State University administration is promoting many different ways for the community to respond to the disaster of Katrina www.gvsu.edu/katrina is one link. The Fellowship as part of the campus community is dedicated to helping those in need. The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is also giving us guidance with suggestions as well http://gbgm-umc.org/umcor/ We keep all of those who are suffering in the world in our prayers and hearts. Every week at our Sunday dinner and discussion we have community prayers where each person has an opportunity to share a request- joy or concern.  Every week we are praying for the troops in the Middle East: that they would come home safe and soon, for family members who are going through difficult times, and for the academic year and the stresses that brings.  We are also sharing in the celebration of new life, the meaningful ways we have experienced God’s love and grace, and the fact that we have the opportunity to meet together every week.
