On March 11, 2009 the CWPA released its picks for its All- American teams and among the picks for first team was GVSU senior Zach Heathman. CWPA All-American Picks Lakers Finish Season Fifth at Nationals The GVSU Men's Water Polo Club took fifth place this weekend at the National Collegiate Club Championships in Athens, OH. It wasn't a high scoring weekend for the Lakers. Zach Heathman paced the team with eight goals, while Marc Wagner and Josh Ensing added four apiece. The Lakers did it with defense this weekend, going 3-1, giving up only 10 total goals in their 3 wins. Peter Huyser anchored the defense, accumulating 42 saves in the four games, for a 70 percent save rate on the weekend. Zach Heathman was named First Team All-Tournament.
