Abstract:
This
paper
follows Napoleon's Grande Armée's invasion into Russia from June
to December of
1812. Using Charles Joseph Minard's 1869
cartograph as a guild, the paper tracts the rapid depletion of the army
due to
the harsh elements and terrain of wester Russia. It
also explores Napoleon's strategies and
options as he fought against the Russia and weather forces.
