Who am I?

I am a graduate of Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan, and have completed the necessary requirements to receive my English (BA) and Spanish (FF) secondary teaching certification from the State of Michigan. I have two college semesters worth of student assisting and teaching experience, including a semester each in high school and middle school settings.

Professional

The following links lead to downloadable PDF files of documents related to my qualifications and philosophy as a professional educator. If your computer will not allow you to view the documents, you may need to install a program such as Adobe Reader 7.0 (available here) before attempting to view them.

Student Teaching

Below you will find examples of lessons I have taught and activities I have created for my students during my student teaching experience at City/High Middle School.

Personal

Although I was born in a small town, my view of the world is far from limited. I love traveling and learning about new peoples, places and cultures. I've visited Rome and Paris, and have spent time roaming around Michigan and many other US states. My hobbies, interests, and obsessions are delightfully numerous, and include (among many others) creative writing, camping and the outdoors, computers and video games, singing, and raising chickens. I'm also a huge Red Wings fan and a coaster enthusiast.

Randomness

Below you will find various links to random things I've come across while moseying around the Internet. I've found them interesting; perhaps you will, too.
