Where are you going when you croak? I have a TI-85 because it is required for the math courses. I have built a parellel port link which is the easiest one to build and have used it to transfer programs both BASIC and Z80 assembeler to the calculator that I have downloaded off the internet. The easiest cable to make and use is the parallel port to TI-85 cable. The diagram for this cable is shown below. The software used is Tickle 85, and can be downloaded here (or below). The other, much more difficult option is the serial port link. It costs more and is harder to make. I made one but I could not get it to work. The serial port software can be downloaded here (or below). Below are diagrams of both cables. More information is included with the respective software. Need parts? A good place to get them is MCM Electronics. After you have your cable set up, you'll want to download some software. The best place to do this is at www.ticalc.org. I suggest using the Usguard shell, as it is compatable with Zshell and Usguard programs (giving the largest selection) and has the best interface. There are also some small useful TI-BASIC programs below for your downloading pleasure. Also check out my TI-85 Links. |
