Projects Four and Five Overview:

I will be building a site for Alternative Breaks here at Grand Valley. AB doesn't have a website and I will be using information gleaned from Project Four to help me develop project five.

Project Four will entail examining the University of Michigan's Alternative Breaks website and using tricks, hints, and subject matter from the UM site, I will form GVSU's AB site.

I found UM's AB site to be severely lacking. Although there was a wealth of information on the site, actually finding it was difficult. The links to different pages are poorly placed and the page lacks any design. If UM's AB site had its own webpage or if it was designed in a way that would draw participants in, I would say that it was effective. However, until the UM web developers actually try to put some though into the page, it won't be an effective tool for UM students.
