Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why Rush Theta Chi?
A: Joining a fraternity is only something you can do while you are in
college. But, to join a fraternity that prides itself on character,
integrity, and extending a helping hand is a choice that few people are
privileged enough to make. By making that choice, you will find Theta
Chi a great fit.
The benefits of Theta Chi are endless. You will experience lifelong friendship and a true sense of brotherhood. With membership into Theta Chi you will be presented with many opportunities socially, academically, and be networked through over 161,000 initiated brothers throughout the country.
So if you are looking to become more involved on campus, develop strong friendships in a hazing-free atmosphere, and build career building leadership skills then Theta Chi is the brotherhood for you
Q: Why type of philanthropy does Theta Chi
participate in?
A: Theta Chi prides itself on Philanthropy. We are, in fact,
founded on Philanthropy and it is shown through our motto, "Extending
the Helping Hand." During Winter of 2008, we sponsored such events such
as 4 on 4 Wheels Wheelchair Basketball Tournament, 30 Hour Famine in
which we raised $720 for God's Kitchen, and we also participated in
Relay for Life.
In the Fall of 2008 we participated in Freshman Move-In, Habitat for Humanity, we volunteered at the Taste of West Michigan, Make a Difference Day, and the Ultimate Showdown. The Ultimate Showdown is a Philanthropy event sponsored by Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority. During this event we raised more money for their philanthropy than any other organization.
We continuously strive to make ourselves better people through helping others who are in need.
