First Annual "Taste of the Arab World"

- held on Feb. 21, 2002 in Cook Dewitt center. This first time event attracted nearly 200 guests who enjoyed the music, food, social hour and exhibition! The world-renowned Middle Eastern entertainment band performaned in Cook-Dewitt, exhibiting the beauty of Arabic music and dance.

2nd Annual "Taste of the Arab World"

- held March 27, 2003 in the Grand River Room (upstairs Kirkhof Center). Attracted over 200-300 guests in the large Grand River Room, including the Grand Rapids Press and The Grand Valley Lanthorn. (again, check the "In the News" links for more information). The event was highlighted by plenty of food, delightful music, and tons of authentic Middle Eastern artifacts on exhibit. The 2nd annual also offered something new--A dance floor! Guests danced, with some instruction for Salaam members as well as Arab Culture Club members and had a wonderful time!
