Making the Grade is a classroom record-keeping tool. It is used by the educator to keep grades and allows them to track performance as well as keeping seating charts and attendance charts. Teachers and customize their grading scale, add curves and do many other things that apply to record keeping. Good for educators at any level.
Timeliner is used to create timelines. The student or
educator can use pictures or text on a timeline and can be used for any time
period. The timelines can be anything as simple as your life up to that point
or the history of the
Encarta Reference Suite is used by students to help with
research papers and any multimedia projects. It is a form of search engine,
just type what you want to look up and search. Encarta Reference Suite has over
seventeen thousand topics, movies, music, and sounds to browse. It also
includes a dictionary and almanac. Good for students of all ages.
Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia
can be sued by teachers or students for research or multimedia projects. It has
over seven thousand images, twelve hours of audio, one hundred and fifty
videos, thirty-seven thousand articles and the “millennium feature” which
includes one thousand years and of information including twenty-six thousand
articles and Internet links. Good for students of all ages.
American History: A Multimedia
Textbook is a two CD set, which contains pictures; graphs, documents and
multimedia presentations that provide an in-depth look at American history. The
set devides history into fourteen eras with different subcategories in each.
Good for students of all ages.
Animated states and Capitals is a
program used for learning states and capitals. The goal is to make learning the
states and capitals as painless as possible. It provides students with a fun
way to learn the names of all 50 states and their capitals as well as their
locations. It also categorizes the states individually, regionally, or all
together. Good for any age (especially because many children do not know all
states and capitals and locations when they graduate high-school)
