Where it all began...

Born and raised in Grand Rapids, I attended Caledonia Community Schools throughout my grade school career. At Caledonia High School I participated in Track and Field, the Bowling Team, played violin in the Orchestra, and was the President of the National Honor Society.

Where it is going...

    I am currently attending Grand Valley State University majoring in Management Information Systems with a minor in Entrepreneurship.  I am planning on attending Grand Rapids Community College within the next 5-7 years in order to receive a Baking and Pastry Arts Certificate so that I will have enough qualifications and information to open a Bakery in downtown Grand Rapids.

The following video was shown in two of my Entrepreneurship courses and I believe it shows the power of entrepreneurial thinking, even when it comes to something as simple as a new way to sell your favorite cereals.

In my spare time...

I am a proud member of Phi Sigma Sigma Women’s Fraternity.  I currently serve as my chapter’s Ritual Chair.  Through the sorority we participate in Make a Difference Day every fall, and we work to raise money for the National Kidney Foundation.  Phi Sigma Sigma is a member of the National Panhellenic Conference which includes 26 different national sororities.  I am also a member of Rho Lambda, an honorary society for sorority leaders.  I currently serve as President which entails running meetings and selecting new members.  This fall I will be regularly attending meetings of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization and continue to network in the Grand Rapids area to encourage the growth of my reputation as a professional and increase awareness of my future business.
