Hunt Seat
Hunt seat is made up of six divisions and fences. Riders with the lowest level of experience start out in walk trot and the divisions then move up as follows: beginner walk/trot/canter, advanced walk/trot/canter, novice, intermediate, and open. Riders in these divisions compete on the flat. Riders who compete in novice, intermediate, and open also have the option to compete over fences.
