well the summer is off to a decent start.
charlie and alex have been living in my basement for the past week because they have no homes here anymore.
that has been pretty sweet, because not many people were home from school yet, so my two closest friends who are home have been close at hand 24 hours a day.
so i have just been chillin with them and looking for a job like crazy.
i have probably applied at 7 or 8 places so far and no call backs yet...
i'll probably call some of them tomorow and hopefully i will get an interview.

story:
on thursday morning, i step out of the shower and my brother says "hey, so uhhh, you wanna go see weezer tonight? michelle has an extra ticket."
i didn't think i'd be too happy with myself if i passed up seeing one of the greatest bands of this era so i agreed to go.
plus greg, chris, charlie, megan, and pat were going.
the opening band pretty much sucked, but whatever.
weezer just plain rocked, rivers cuomo is probably one of the most interesting rock stars ever,
and that is saying something considering that rock stars tend to be pretty interesing people to say the least.
i didn't see his facial expression change once the entire show, but his voice and guitar work still carried more emotion than 20 shitty pop bands put together.
all he had to do to throw the crowd into a frenzy was say in a completly monotone vioce and blank expression "detroit is a kick-ass city"
that was pretty much the only indication that he knew what was even going on, he seemed to be in a completely different place altogether.
i know people tend to obsess over rivers and pretty much forget about the rest of the band,
but he is just so fucked up in the head and comletely insane, but still pretty much a genious, that it is justified.
so that was weezer...and then there was the sour element of the show: the crowd.
we were there at least an hour before the doors, and the line was already about three blocks long.
luckily we were about a block and a half away because we met up with my brother who was there earlier.
then we got in and everything was fine until the lights dimmed for weezer.
people are fucking idiots, we were so tightly packed i was in direct contact with about 7 people at any given time.
the best part of the crowd was when everyone would get thrown one way, and we would all just push back as hard as we could.
i can't even describe how dumb people were acting.
at one point i was standing in beween these two guys who were exchanging some harsh words.
the guy to my right had a cup of beer that was hoisted over my head as he was 'talking some smack' to the other guy.
so the other guy decided to reach up and crush the cup.
needless to say beer rained down on my head, and my hair was sticky and reeked of beer the rest of the night.
i also got elbowed in the face a few times, and humped by gross chicks...not cool.
and every decent looking girl there had a six foot four douchebag with a plastic beer cup feeling her up from behind.
ok enough about the crowd, it was a rock concert after all, some of that stuff is to be expected.
all in all, it was a pretty great show.
the best part was during my name is jonas (my favorite weezer song) when the big light-up W came down out of nowhere.
that thing is fucking sweet, its practically a member of the band in itself.
so yeah weezer rocks.
my brother has a ticket for greenday too, but i dunno if i wanna spend the money on that, plus it is in GR, so i dunno.
and now my bed is calling my name so that is it for now.
