well now that i am finally settled in at college i will be taking more pictures and updating my website on a regular basis.
so, for all my fans out there, more and better updates are on the way, i promise.
i am at college now, and it is pretty sweet.
my apartment rocks.
i have pretty much forgotten about the long, drawn out, pointless summer i just went through.
what a waste of time that was.
next summer i will actually do something.
i will not work at westborn.
or the village.
or arrow uniform rental.
ok enough about that, lets move on to my insane weekend.
friday: came home, chilled with some of the crew, slept at home.
saturday: chilled at home, hung with some crew, went adventuring on trails by the rouge, then went off to ann arbor with charlie.
went to a party in ann arbor, got offered weed two too many times, and didn't get drunk cuz i wasn't feelin it.
slept in ann arbor.
sunday: woke up, came back to dearborn with charlie.
hung out at my grandma's 90th birthday partay whilst charles slept on the couch in my basement.
then we took off to flint, where charlie dropped off his uncle's car and from there we decided to hit up state.
after meeting up with chris at his dorm, we all chilled with nikki in her and julia's sweeeet room.
just then i realized that i was at state, wanted to get back to grand valley tomorow, and had to take charlie back to ann arbor at some point before then.
so nikki and chris agreed to keep me company as i dropped charlie off back in ann arbor.
i was on the road again, and back to ann arbor we went.
after a quick stop at NYPD (mmmmm...) we bid charlie goodbye and headed back to state.
so just to recap:
ann arbor to dearborn, dearborn to flint, flint to lansing, lansing to ann arbor, ann arbor back to lansing, and lansing to grand rapids the next day.
whewwwwwweeeee.
ok so maybe thats not the most driving anyone has ever done but it was quite a bit.
anyways, we got back to state and julia was back from indiana.
so we all hung out in holden for a while.
chris had been telling me about his friend on the second floor who had some salvia (a legal hallucinogenic drug).
with one of my lifetime goals being to try it, i couldn't pass up a possible opportunity.
so downstairs we went, and sure enough, good ol' ian had some vials of that mystical substance...SALVIA!
i was nervous at first, so ian smoked most of the first bowl, then i lit it up and took a huge hit, then another.
the first waves of euphoria were great, i giggled and couldn't stop smiling.
it was a very strage uplifting sensation, and it felt great.
i was a little dizzy and everything kind of left light trails as it spun down and to the right.
my forehead and nose felt hot as hell and then my arms started to tingle and then went completely numb.
at this point i wouldn't have been surprised to look down and see that i no longer had any arms, but they were still there.
julia came over and grabbed one of them but i could feel nothing.
after about 30 seconds of that they just got rediculously tingly.
then the spinning slowed and i came back down after about 10 minutes.
i felt pretty great for about an hour after the experience.
overall a very interesting experience, but i don't know if i will ever do it again.
after my salvia trip and talking techno with ian for a while, chris and i headed back upstairs to julia and nikki's where julia put eyeliner on chris, with tears and all.
he acted crazy for a while then i fell asleep on this mattress with 10 billion fuzzy and fluffy pillows on it.
mmmmmmmmm....it was soooooo comfy.
mmm...
monday: we woke up and chilled for a while in the room, then went to breakfast at denny's where you can get an enormous amount of food for 5 bucks.
then i said goodbye to everyone and drove off...with julia's phone in my car.
woops.
so when i got back to GV i unloaded my car and found her phone.
don't worry julia, i am taking good care of it until i mail it back.
so now that i had finally made it back to GV, i went and played frisbee with aaron, chris, sara and laura for a while.
then headed over to dan's and watched the ring 2 with teresa.
(teresa is hilarious to watch scary movies with...i think i have bruises of my leg from her punching me)
after that i came home and went to bed.
and thats pretty much it.
what a crazy weekend.
i wish i had taken more pictures.
whew.
