Team Recruitment:
Chairperson: Kelly Weir
| Team Recruitment's mission is to recruit 10-12 person teams for Relay for Life. They contact all clubs and organizations on campus and at other colleges. They are in charge of team captain's meetings and they stay in contact with each team. Team Recruitment is also in charge of the team captains banquet that is put on every year during the Great American Smokeout. |
Cancer Control:
Chairperson: Justin Copenhaver
| Cancer Control's mission is to put on cancer control activities throughout the year. They organize all advocacy efforts including a lobby day. Cancer control is also in charge of organizing the activities during the Great American Smokeout and Relay. |
Service and Survivorship:
Chairperson: Kristen Main
| Service and Servivorships mission is to find survivors and try to get them involved in Relay activities. They are in charge of acquiring a speaker as well as planning and facilitating the survivor's banquet and the luminaria ceremony on the night of Relay. Service and Survivorship is also in charge of providing volunteer opportunities for CARE. |
Advertising:
Chairperson: Kirra Sheremet
| The Advertising Committee is in charge of informing students of Grand Valley as well as area community members about the events that CARE hosts. They work with all of the other teams to ensure that the word is out. |
Fundraising:
Chairperson: Beth Peshek
| The Fundraising committee is in charge of raising money for the CARE organization, not to be given to the ACS. They also work with the Team Recruitment committee to ensure that Relay teams has sufficient ideas and opportunities to raise money for the event. Fundraising also seeks out sponsors for each of our events. |
