TOP 5 INDY FAVORITES
(low budget movies that should get more reconigition)

Bottle Rocket
Wes Anderson's first film.  Co-wrote by Anderson and Owen Wilson, who stars alongside his brother Luke Wilson, whom I love.  A very funny movie about crime, and how these three guys are terrible at it.  Very funny and just as good as Anderson's other two films, "Rushmore" and "The Royal Tenenbaums".

Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels
Guy Ritchie's first film, also about clumsy criminals.  Hard to understand at times, due to the heavy english accents, so watch it twice and it is worth it.  They style of the film with the washed out colors and the change of film speeds makes this movie a delight just to look at.

Pi
Darren Aronofsky's first film.  A very inteligent thriller about a man that is obsessed with math and finding patterns in the stock market.  Great imagiry due the use of black and white film.  "Pi" in a very layered story that requires you watch more than once, but you will want to anyway after seeing it the first time.

Clerks
Kevin Smith's first film.  This ultra-low budget, black and white film takes you into a day in the life of two conveience store clerks.  Written by Kevin Smith, who I belive is one of todays best writer/directors.  This movie spawns the begining of Jay and Silent Bob.

Reservoir Dogs
Quentin Tarantino's first film.  As the director, Tarantino plays with storytelling and time in this crime thriller.  Has an all-star cast.  Contains a ton of voilence and swearing, but for this movie I wouldn't want it any other way.
