The Royal Tenenbaums
This movie is Wes Anderson's third film.
After falling in love with his first two, I was anticipating this movie
coming to theaters for eight months. When it did, I saw it twice
on opening day. Words can not describe the brilliance of this movie.
You laugh out loud cause it is so funny, but then you want to cry because
it is so sad. An all-star cast of Luke and Owen Wilson, Gene Hackman,
Ben Stiller, Bill Murray, Gweneth Paltrow, Danny Glover and Angelica Houston.

Rushmore
Wes Anderson's second film. Starring
the new comer Jason Schwartzman, Bill Murray and Luke Wilson. A smart
and funny look at a high school over achiever who falls in love with a
teacher. A great story on so many levels. All of Anderson's
movies are co-written by Owen Wilson.

American History X
A riveting drama with Edward Norton as a
nazi who changes his ways after going to jail for killing three blacks.
He does not want his younger brother to turn out the way he did, but it
is to late. A serious film that earned Norton an Oscar nomination
for best actor. Even though you know Norton's character is a terrible
person at the beginning, you can not help but feel for him after he truly
changes his ways.

Good Will Hunting
Any person with a dream should see this
movie. A kid (Matt Damon) with all of the talent in the world and
he won't use it. His best friends (Ben and Casey Affleck), and his
court appointed psychologist (Robin Williams) all try to get him on the
right tack. This movie won Williams an Oscar for supporting actor
and Damon and Affleck one for screenplay, in which they delivered one of
the all-time greatest Oscar speeches.

The Untouchables
Who isn't fascinated by the story of Al
Capone. This movie may not be 100% historically true, but it is a
fine film. With a cast of Kevin Coster, Robert DeNiro, Andy Garcia,
and Sean Connery, who won his only Oscar for this movie. A great
crime film where the good guys win and the bad guys loose.
