"Reading on-screen must be better, not the same as, or worse than, paper. If the reader feels they have to print out the information to use it, we have failed."

 

I had to laugh when I read this quote. I was sitting at a table eating lunch, reading this text from a piece of paper. I'm sure the folks at gooddocuments.com would be dissappointed to know I had printed the assigned reading from their website, but who really has the patience to sit in front of a monitor reading so much text.

No one, really, which is why we need to learn how to write for the ADD generation.

That means producing documents that are easier for business readers to navigate through after several cups of coffee.
