What To Buy
What To Purchase:
If you are interested in buying a saxophone there are a few
things
that you should know.
1. Cheap isn't good. Just because you think
you are getting a deal on Ebay by buying a "new" sax for $200, you
really aren't. These cheap instruments tend to be non-brand name
and poorly made. Brand name
instruments such as Yamaha
or Jupiter
are made to last.
2. Do not buy a sax that is any color
other
than gold or silver. Sure you may want a blue sax but the lacquer that
is used to paint the instrument affects the sound produced.
3. If possible purchase the instrument from a
reputable instrument dealer or music store. Its better to see what you
are
getting before you get it so you know that you don't have to send it in
for
repair.
