Hello, welcome to my first official internet website -
RavensKeep!
This site has been
created for the sole purpose of fulfilling a
requirement in one of my college classes, so don't expect too much.
That being said, I've found that learning the basics of web
design has been very interesting, despite the many frustrations
involved.
Since this will be my last term as an undergrad I
would
like to throw out a couple of names to thank. Interestingly
enough,
the instructors who required me to write in-depth analytical papers
are
those who I came to value the most. With that in mind it should
be
noted that the WRT 305 class, which I was required to take, was
worthless.
Thank you for wasting my time and money!
To those I am truly thankful for, however, let us
start
with:
- Professor
Kelleher - From the History Dept, who was able to nurture my
writing
talents
past their infancy stage and introduced me to the magnificent works of Achebe
and Wiesel.
- Professor
Crouthamel - With the History Dept as well, who introduced me
to Kovaly.
- Professors Diven
and
Constantelos
- In the Political Science Dept. The first for developing
and broadening my
understanding
of the field of international relations, and the second for teaching a
great
International Relations capstone course.
- Professor Mekik - In the
Geology Dept. She was able to remind me how much fun science
really is. Almost convinced me to declare a geology minor... than
I realized I'd be stuck in school for at least another year and taking
four science classes a term at that!!! Still wouldn't mind taking
that Plate Tectonics class, or the Oceanography class, or ...
- Professor
Soljan - From the English Dept, who was not only of invaluable
assistance
in regards to my grammar problems but also did a fantastic job of
introducing
me to such classics as Beowulf and the works of John
Donne.
- Professor
Corbetta - Also with
the Political Science Dept. His paper requirements not
only gave me great
insight
into a specific event, but also greatly broadened my appreciation for
historical
journals in general, and the JSTOR®
database in particular.
Thank you all!
for
it is
each of you that have made
my
collegiate experience
worthwhile!
