Title

The Game of Assassin is a popular, more structured, variation of a Nerf War. The Structure of the game is simple. Administration consists of an odd number of judges, usually 3 to 5. The Number of players is open. Play is organized by the judges as follows:

Once the total number of players is determined, everyone is randomly assigned the name of a person. Your objective is to eliminate the player whose name you have. Note that the players do not know who has their name, they only know the name of their target. When you eliminate a target (or likewise are eliminated yourself) the target of the eliminated person becomes the new target of the eliminator, as per the illustrations.

Thus the B, E, and H's targets become the new targets of their respective assassins. A hunts C, D hunts F and so on.

This patteren continues until two players are left standing. At the judges discression, they may be left to hunt each other, or for a bit of excitement, a duel may be set up, perhaps with elimination rules differnt then the standard (listed below). Again, this is at the discression of the judges.

RULES FOR ELIMINATION

The standard rules are as follows:

1. Non-Modded NERF brand weapons only.

2. Assassinations may not take place within the target's vehicle, on board any form of public transportation (including school busses), on the grounds of the school the target attends (for college level games, campus grounds are fair game, however dorms, halls, and school buildings are not), or within the target's residence without being invited in (the front yard and garage are okay, however one must be invited to enter the house). NOTE: It is the location of the TARGET and NOT the assassin that determines if a hit counts.

3.All Kills must be confirmed by both a witness and the target in addition to the assassin. The best way to do this is to go to Yahoo or Hotmail and set up an e-mail account to which kill confirmations are sent. Once all 3 confirmations are received, the target is stricken from the list and ranked accordingly. The name of the new target is then sent to the assassin. Alternatively, the name of the new target may be imparted by the victim, and any attempts on this new simply do not count until the confirmation is received. This method is faster and is a better choice for those games under time constraint (such as the end of a school year).

4.Any disputes are to be settled by a vote of the judges (hence the odd number) and all votes are final. Anyone found to be in breach of the rules or to have falsafied a kill shall be disqualified and treated as though eliminated, including the witness if he or she is also a player.

5.A player is considered eliminated when shot by his or her assassin it the torso, head, arm above the elbow, or leg above the knee. Below the knee and elbow do not count. Remember, it is the location of the target and not the assassin that determines whether he or she is safe.

6.The target may shoot back at the assassin. A hit landed on the assassin by the target means that the assassin my not shoot at the target for 15 minutes, allowing the target time to escape. If both the assassin and the target shoot at the same time, or it is unclear which shot landed first, then count it as the target's shot had landed first.

7. The judges have the final say in all disputes. If a dispute cannot be settled or it truly is a 50/50 case, then rule in favor of the target.

8.Have fun, and don't do anything illegal or stupid.
