1. Albuqerque host the worlds largest International hot air balloon fiesta.
2. The Rio Grand runs the entire legnth of New Mexico.
3. New Mexico is one of the four corner states.
4. The leaves of the Yucca plant which is the state flower,
can be used to make rope, baskets, and sandles.
5. One in four worker in New Mexico works directly with the
Federal Government.
6. Public education was almost non-existant untill in New Mexico
untill the end of the 19th century.
7. Moon rocks can be found at the International Space hall of fame.
8. Sante Fe is the highest city in the United States at
7,000 feet above sea level.
9. Since the climate in New Mexico is so dry, 3/4 of the roads are
left unpaid. The roads don't wash away.
10. The town of Deming is known for it's annual duck races.
