From Parents:
Q: How can I sign my daughter up for Girl Scouts?
A: Contact Girl Scouts of Michigan Trails office (784-8187) and find out the name of the Neighborhood Manager in your area. That person will then contact you to begin the registration process.

Q: How much does Girl Scouts cost?
A: It costs $10 for an annual membership with Girl Scouts USA. Each troop then may ask for Troop Dues to help cover the cost of supplies. Girl Scouts also offeres an Opportunity Fund to families in need of financial support. Call GSMT for more information. (784-8187).

From Leaders:
Q:
How much time do I need to spend being a Girl Scout Troop leader?
A: That is completely up to you and your troop. When the girls are younger they will rely upon their leaders to do more for them in preparation for their meetings and activities. However, as the girls grow and get older Girl Scouts teachers them how to plan and implement their own meetings and activities.

Q: Do I have to do this all by myself?
A: No way! You will always have help and support. Each troop is required to have atleast 2 registered adults (Leader, Co-Leader, Registered Parent) at each meeting or activity.

Q: Do we ever get to do things with other GS Troops?
A: Yes! Once a moth all of the Allendale Girl Scouts are invited to join in a "Neighborhood Activity". See the Neighborhood Events Calendar for a complete listing. Also, GSMT has a whole year of events planned that they sponsor. You can see this calendar either in the VRB (Volunteer Resource Book) or by going online to www.GSMT.org

Q: How do I get updates on what is happening in Girl Scouts?
A: You are encouraged to attend the monthly Leader meetings that are always held on the 2nd Tuesday evening of each month. (For more information, please email a Neighborhood Manager at Ebelings2002@yahoo.com)
