Dear Praying Friends,

It is with humble hearts that we bring this report to you at this time. We are so grateful for your steadfast prayers and support, enabling us to continue on in the ministry of church planting. After much preparation, prayer, and planning on the part of both the team here and in the US, the dental clinic was held at the Bath Bible Church last week. (see attached pics) The clinic was open to the public, services were free to all.  This proved once again to be an opportunity to reach out with the love of Christ to our village and throughout Guyana, as people came from far and wide to be cared for. We praise God for the 700 people who came through the clinic and received professional dental treatment.  Every person heard a clear presentation of the gospel, 50 persons made profession of faith in Christ as a result. Only eternity will reveal those whose lives were changed as a result of this outreach.  Even the dental team itself was ministered to, as was shared on the final night together, when one of the hygeinists accepted Christ as her Savior! The following is a list of the work done by the dental team, as reported by Dr. Hodges:

700 patients

1920 donated man/hours

631 dental cleanings (prophylaxis)

142 dental sealants

447 dental restorations including 861 surfaces restored

325 extraction

44 endodontic treatments (root canals)

~400 dental radiographs

If these procedures were done in our offices they would equal approximately  $293,522 US ($58,704,765 Guyanese dollars)

Of course, there could never be a price put on the eternal value of such an outreach!   We are blessed and grateful to have hosted a team who worked this hard to provide excellent care for so many needy people.

So what else is happening in the ministry, now that the team is gone? We're back to our normal routine, only now there are many new believers to visit and encourage. A baptismal service was held this afternoon (March 19) in the village canal (see attached pics), men, women and teens went into the water as a testimony of their faith in Christ. Please pray for them, as they seek to  live out their Christianity among their hindu and muslim families, neighbors, and friends. 

We covet your prayers for us as we look forward to the teaching schedule at the Berbice Bible Institute for April. Both of us will be teaching 2 classes per week for all four weeks. Andy will be teaching Homiletics and Pastoral Care, Kathleen will be teaching Church Music and a Teacher Training Course for Sunday School and Kids Klub leaders. There are several new students taking these courses, pray that we would be effective communicators in the training of nationals for ministry.  

I John 4:15 -16 If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.
