For project #4, I re-designed the front page for the Michigan Trails Girl Scouts, tailoring it for the Allendale Scouts. My re-design can be found here. To begin, I felt the color scheme needed to be changed. The blue and green did not mesh well in my opinion, especially the lack of symmetry with the blue on one side and the green on the other side. I liked the green since green is typically used as the Girl Scouts main color, so I chose to use variations of green throughout the site. For the layout of the original page, the navigation wasn't very efficient. There were over a dozen links listed without much sense of organization. To solve this problem, my re-design included drop-down menus to give the page a less cluttered look while still including all the necessary information and making each piece of information easier to find. I liked the animated pictures the original site used, so I made a similar version with Allendale pictures. However, in the original site, almost everything was centered, so I changed the location of the pictures to make the page more pleasing to the eye.
