The image with the long angle of the bench shows more of how it sucks to be on the beach when you want to be out there in the game or practicing with your friends/ teammates. You start to get a lonely feeling to this piece, the focus is on the girl in both frames, her emotions is telling the viewers how down she feels and you start to get that sense of how bad she really want to be out there and not on the bench. This message shows and expresses how I used to feel back when I was younger and got benched for whatever reason. It’s never fun to be on the bench so my message is to let the kids play, sports are supposed to be fun and something to do to keep young ones out of trouble but if you take the fun out of the game then what’s the point of playing? | ![]() |
![]() | "The Ying-Yang" When constructing this image my first thought was to have two females on the same bench do the exact opposite from each other creating that illusion. So in doing so I decided to dress on black and the other in white. The subject matters in this image that I choose were two of my good friends, one is a blonde and the other’s a burnet. There are many other ying-yang factors being shown throughout the photo: One has sunglasses one doesn’t, ones sitting straight up with her legs crossed the other is slouching, one has a hat the other doesn’t, flip-flops vs. shoes, book bag vs. purse, headphones vs. cell phone, etc. This image is working for edges only by have your two subjects on opposite sides of the frame. |
