Sharpening Images

After the picture has the desired color, the picture then can be sharpened to create more concrete edges and features to the picture.
Step #1: From the bitmap on the left side tool bar, click on the marquee tool (M) or the lasso tool (L). (Make sure you are still working under the original view tab found at the top of your image).
Step #2: Either the marquee tool or the lasso tool can select the part of the image that you would like to sharpen. Select the Lasso tool
Step #3: Lasso the light around the building and select Sharpen More found in the Filters option under SHARPEN.
Step #4: Next, lasso the secondary building (the darker one) and some of the surrounding sky. Choose Un-sharp Mask, you will be able to control the Sharpen Amount anywhere from 1-500, the Pixel Radius anywhere from 0.1-250.0, and the Threshold anywhere from 0-255. If you check the box "preview" you will be able to see the effects on the image before applying it. Enter 225 for the Sharpen. 6.2 for the Pixel, and 26 for the Threshold. Click OK
Step #5: To view the finished product click on the Preview tab at the top next to the original tab.
