Tegan Dargan is the daughter of the late Governor Vertil Dargan and his wife, Serah Donvereux. Testing at an early age revealed the child to have a superior intellect and it was believed that she would be a candidate for the Special Projects division. After the death of Serah Donvereux she proved to be unsuitable for the program.
Dargan is a mute from the age of six. Her scores remain high, but her inability to speak precludes her from any sort of real service to the Imperial armed forces.
Dargan inherited the position of governor of the Kartuiin Sector at the death of Vertil Dargan. Legally, she is the ward of Admiral Torvin Taylor and Lieutenant Commander Marie Dargan.
