What We're About

The Grand Valley Ski Team is a competitive alpine ski and snowboard race team that competes under the jurisdiction of the Midwest Collegiate Ski Association (MCSA) which is a member of the United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association (USCSA). Our conference includes the University of Michigan, Michigan State University, Western Michigan University, University of Notre Dame, and Central Michigan University.

Every year the Grand Valley Ski Team competes as a member of the MCSA at resorts such as Crystal Mountain, Cannonsburg, Schuss Mountain, Searchmont, and Marquette Mountain. The season typically lasts for the first six weekends of the winter semester ending with the regional race in Marquette. Skiers have two runs in both the slalom and giant slalom events while snowboarders have four runs in the giant slalom events. Races are two days with slalom on Saturday and giant slalom on Sunday.
