Reasons My Homepage is Better!

I decided that the original format of the Argos website did not coincide with the way I think. There was not an introduction to their organization on the home page. There was just links and pictures. I thought it was an ideal site to redesign. The information on this site is important and beneficial. The writing was pretty clear and concise. The site had promise, it was just disorganized.

I redesigned it to work the way I think. I decided that the homepage is susposed to orient the visitor to why the site exists. The original homepage turned me off. If I were looking for some information that may have existed within it's links I probably would not have tried to figure out how to get it. Don't make me think!

I gave the homepage bright colors that I pulled from the Argos logo. This made it more visually appealing. I put all the links down the left side of the page. This is a fimiliar design and it is fuctional. I took out one of the links because I put the existing information on the homepage. It tells about argos and helps to orient the reader. It is much more appropriate on the homepage then to have to look for it.

When you visit my Argos homepage you will be able to look at what is offered right away and get a feel for who Argos is. Therefore, you will know if this site will have the information you may need and how to get to it.
