Great
Things to do in Pentwater
- Pentwater
is a small town but offers a variety of activities to keep you busy -
-
Only a half mile walk
from town and you are at the beach. This public campground and beach
is quite popular with the families. It has nice facilities and offers
a nice place to camp for
the
week. The beach is clean, has a pier to walk on, and the dunes called
Mt. Baldi to climb and run down.
-
Pentwater also offers
a concert in the park every Thursday night. This hometown band entertains
with their own hometown talent. Also any visitors to Pentwater are
encouraged to bring their own instruments and join the band for the evening.
-
You could go miniature
golfing at one of the golf places or go-carting at AJ family fun park.
-
You could spend a day
shopping in the strip of stores. The fudge shop, the sticker store,
and the kite shop are just a few of the diverse, cute shops.
-
You could drive your boat
to Pentwater and park it at the marina while you spend a day on land.
-
There is a nice Methodist
church to attend on Sunday, offering church on the green in the summer.
-
There are two bed and
breakfast homes to check out.
-
You can visit the J &
J Ranch. Here you can go horseback riding in the summer or play a
round of golf. In the winter there are dog sled races to keep you
entertained. The ranch also boasts a great meal to fill you after
these events.
-
There is a double decker
bus to ride on and tour the area of Pentwater and surrounding areas.
On this tour you will see how many of the homes in Pentwater have been
kept up very well. They are very old and great to admire their beauty.
-
You could go fishing either
on Pentwater Lake, where you will catch the small fish, or on Lake Michigan,
where you will catch the BIG fish. Pentwater has access to some of
the best fishing in the world. Pentwater Lake is fed by the north
and south branch of the Pentwater River and has direct access to Lake Michigan.
-
There are public tennis
courts to make sure your game doesn't get rusty while on vacation.
-
There is a great cemetery
to tour. It has a unique, winding road displaying many of the old,
beautiful headstones.
-
There are five nice golf
courses to visit with your friends.
-
There is a nice new library
for the rainy days when you want to curl up with a book.
-
And best of all, you can
just hang out with your friends and family and enjoy a relaxing day away
from every day life. The hometown atmosphere makes you feel like
you are a part of the "Pentwater" world.
