    Flair vs. Steamboat
One of Ric Flair's most famous rivals was Ricky Steamboat.  He and Steamboat battled for months over the World's Heavyweight title in 1989 and again in 1994 in bouts held by wrestling purists to be some of the best matches of all time.
    Flair vs. Hogan
These two icons of the squared circle saw plenty of each other over their careers, especially when Hogan joined WCW in 1994.  Flair and Hogan would encounter each other in matches at least 15 times over the years, with  5 of those being World's Heavyweight title matches.  While Hogan may be the household name, Flair always gets the nod as the better wrestler.

    Flair vs. Sting
These two long-time competitors' rivalry was the backbone of WCW and the southern wrestling scene for what seemed like decades.  But in reality their first meeting was only on March 27, 1988 at the first Clash of the Champions where the two wrestled to a 45-minute draw.  Over the years, these two have been both friends and bitter enemies and have crossed paths innumerable times.  In fact, the last match on WCW's final night of television programming was Flair vs. Sting one last time.

    Flair vs. Dusty Rhodes
Dusty Rhodes was the opposite of Flair - humble, blue-collar, upright, and true.  And it was in their differences that their rivalry became historic.  In the heyday of the NWA, Flair and Rhodes tore down the roof in arenas around the country and their feud which saw the formation of the Four Horsemen and the emergence Nikita Koloff as one of Flair's great opponents, escalated both men to immortality.  They traded World's title victories and bragging rights for years, with Flair winning two from Rhodes, while Rhodes only won one from Flair.
