Minutes 02/20/08
- We have a name for the the winter Semester LSU dance it is "CLUB LA HABANA"
the dance is set for April 19, our theme is classy cuba.
- Remember to save the date for the Cesar Chavez march on Monday MARCH
31 , the march starts @ 12pm followed by a speaker in the Grand River
Room @ 1pm
- Relay for Life is April 11 from 6pm - 6am so save the date, if you haven't
signed up please do so. We will fundraise some money by putting on a bake sale
in Kirkhof but there is no set date for the bake sale yet.
- Reminder next weeks meeting will take place in Kirkhof romm 1104
@ 5pm.
- Tomorrow the Sigma Lambda Beta-Alpha Gamma Chapter will be watching
Remember the Titans in the Kirkhof Movie Center followed by a brief
discussion on discrimination. This event will start at 7pm. So make sure you
go and support
Minutes 02/13/08
- Save the date March 31 will be the Cesar Chave march @ 12pm
in Zumberge Library which will be followed by a speaker (Ricardo Meza) in the
GRR @ 1pm
- We will be cosponsoring the Winter Semester LSU dance with La Tertulia. The
date of the dance is APRIL 19 so save the date. We need some ideas to help plan
for the dance and we would love any input you guys have especially the
individuals that can't make the meetings. Our theme is "Classy Cuba" We are
looking for a DJ, a name for the dance and a cuban restaurant to cater the food,
if you can help out or have any ideas let us know.
- If anybody is interested in attending Dia de La Mujer conference at MSU
February 23, 2008 let me know soI can add you to the list (there is a $10
registration fee and we will be driving there)
- We only have 3 member for relay so if you havent signed up for relay for

Minutes 02/06/08
- If you want a brown t-shirt and are not on the list please let me know so i
can add you to it.
- Good news and bad news, we finally got a date for our dance in the Grand
River Room for April 19 but since its the weekend before finals we really have
to advertise alot in order to have a good turn out.
- We also voted on the theme and decided on a 1940's-1950's old school
"classy" cuban based theme. But we still need an official name if you have
any ideas let us know. Some names we came up with were Pachuco Pachanga, Havana
Nights, Fiesta Guajira, Club Havana.
- Save the date MONDAY MARCH 31, will be the silent march in honor of Cesar
Chavez. @ 12pm at the Zumberge library. After the march will have a speaker in
the Grand River Room @ 1pm.
- Dia de la Mujer cnference is coming up February 23. If you are interested
in going let me know so we have a rough estimate of who is going and give you
more info.
- We have an official relay for life team. You can join the team online.
Relay for life will be April 11 6pm -6am.
- Next meeting is the day before Valetines Day so don't forget to bring candy
to pass out.
