Brake Pads
                        Brake pads

Tools/ Materials Required

   -Jack and jack stand
   -Lug wrench
   -C-clamp
   -Wrench (choose a socket, open end or adjustable wrench)
   -New Brakes
   -(recommended) Brake Cleaner
    -grease

Start:
   
1. Loosen the lug nuts on the wheel. Then jack up the car and place a jack stand under the car in correct location. Lower the jack so its weight is on the jack stand fully. Remove the lug nuts and remove the wheel. You now have access to the brake assembly and can safely reach under the car.

2. Find the two slider bolts ,sometimes referred to as pins, that hold the caliper in place. It's generally only necessary to remove the lower bolt. It can be long but once it is fully loosened, it will slide out easily. It will be covered with grease(the grease should be re-applied to it before re-assembly)

3. With the bottom bolt removed, the caliper pivots upwards. The rubber hose will flex to allow this so do not disconnect any hydraulic lines.

4. People often use a C-clamp to retract the piston or pistons, simply place C-clamp on piston and tighten until the piston is pushed back all the way.

5. The brake pads are exposed and the retaining clips hold them loosely in place. Simply slide the new brakes into the clips making sure they match up exactly as you go.

6. After new brakes are installed, simply reassemble the slider bolts and make sure everything is back to normal.

7.(optional) If you touched the rotor with your hands the oil from your hands can effect your brakes, simply spray on brake cleaner to clean it.
