Me: I am twenty three year old.  I am currently a student at Grand Valley State University.  I am in my senior year.  My major is History and my minor is Spanish.  I plan on applying to the School of Education in the fall.  I plan on going into Secondary Education.  I would like to teach on the high school level.  I choose teaching as a profession because I love learning and I hope to inspire young people to learn as well.

My Family:  Family is very important to me.  Currently I do not have any children but my husband and I plan on starting a family in a few years.  My husband's name is Jim. We have been married since September of 2000.  We live in Ada with our dog Tucker.  Tucker is a golden retriever and a big baby.  I have two sisters and one brother.  My sister Emily and brother Derek both are students at Central Michigan University.  My other sister Casey is currently a junior at Forest Hills Central.  I have a large family.  I have relatives in many different states so I enjoy traveling to visit them all.

Experiences: A few years ago I had the opportunity to study in England. This was one of the most memorable experiences in my life so far.  I studied Shakespeare.  While in England I lived with a host family and attended a local college.  I learned so much about english culture and about myself while I was their.  I hope to return to England and travel throughout Europe in the future. Another learning experience I have resently had was teaching religious education at my church.  I taught a group of sixth graders everyother week.  In doing this I learned a lot about class room management and lesson planing.  These young people kept me on my toes the whole time. I hope to do teach them again in the fall.
