Welcome!
Hello one and all, and welcome to my personal webpage! My name is Grantland Rice. You may have heard about me if you are a fan of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, college football or sports in general. If you haven't heard about me, now is your chance to get to know me! Despite my death in 1954, the wonders of technology have allowed me to publish this webpage post-mortem! You should consider yourselves lucky. :)
A bit about the site...
Before you begin to navigate the site, I wanted to give all of you a little bit of information about what can be found in each section. There is plenty of information available here, but not much can be done if you can't find your way around!
Home: This is where you are currently. The home page contains a welcome message as well as an explanation of the various sections of the site, which you are reading right now.
Biography: Here you can find a little bit of information about myself, inlcuding where I went to school, the papers I wrote for and the awards I won. I am very fond of this section and it is highly recommended!
Articles: This section houses some of my written works, including my most famous --- "The Four Horsemen."
Four Horsemen: Here you can read some cursory information about the players who made up the famous Notre Dame backfield. Football just ain't what it used to be...
Stamp: Did you know the U.S. Postal Service released a stamp in 1998 dedicated to Pestilence, War, Famine and Death? Read about it here.
My Effect: Not to brag, but the world of sports journalism changed as a result of my writings. Read what I believe to be my effect on the genre here.
