Don't forget that due to the drastic decrease in the number of photo requests over the past several years, FAAR will no longer be providing photos for property listings in Kinnexus. FAAR will cease to offer this service effective January 1, 2008.

Please plan accordingly. The 2006/2007 FAAR member survey revealed that over 90% of FAAR REALTORŪ members own a digital camera.

If you don't own one yet (or maybe want to upgrade), NAR offers discounts on Dell Inc and Hewlett Packard cameras. Click on the corresponding brand to check out the savings!

The FAAR Board of Directors have made available twenty (20) $150 scholarships for the 2008 calendar year to members in good standing of FAAR. Ten (10) scholarships are to be awarded to those who have been members of FAAR for two years or less. Ten (10) scholarships are to be awarded to those who have been members of FAAR for two years or more.

The deadline to return the application is Friday, January 4th at 5 pm.

The scholarships are only good for a NAR, MAR or FAAR sponsored class or seminar. Scholarship recipients must be a REALTORŪ Member of FAAR in good standing at the time the scholarship is utilized and reimbursement is requested. Recipients must show proof of satisfactory completion and payment in full in order to be eligible for reimbursement. Awarded scholarships must be used within the 2008 calendar year or they will be forfeit. Scholarships can only be utilized by the FAAR Member who it was awarded to and may not be transferred.

FAAR is proud to announce that our very own Director of Operations Kim Thompson has earned the RealtorŪ Association Certified Executive (RCE) Designation.

As a representation of comittment to association management, accomplishment, initiative and professional development, the RCE designation is a great honor. Kim is a valued asset of the association and the members!

FAAR affiliate Book A Showing.com has given back to the Realtor community. At the NAR Tradeshow in Las Vegas, BAS presented the Michigan Chapter Women's Council of REALTORS a check sponsoring WCR for the next four years!

"By giving at the state level, they are assisting all Michigan chapters," said Flint Chapter President Angie Ridley.

The sponsorship money will be used to assist with developing education leaders among Michigan's WCR chapters. BAS's support for education and WCR programs is greatly appreciated!
