Make sure to find a dog that will best suit your needs. Think about if you want a cuddly dog, a hunting dog, a contest dog, or some other type. Some people merely search for family pets while others search for working dogs. Deciding what you want from your dog will help to decide which breeds you should look into. Do not get your heart set on a dog just because it looks cute! It will not be fun for you or for your playmate if you, as the owner, slack on researching what this dog will want from you.
