Sometimes a rescue is the perfect kind of dog for your family. The rescues need good homes that can love and support them. For an elderly couple, it might be nicer to adopt an older dog so they skip through the puppy phase and can have a nice mellow furry friend. Lots of rescues need homes and they are less expensive than other dogs. They might come with some quirks but it only makes them unique and sweet. Sometimes people can adopt retired seeing eye dogs which are all very well trained and easy to take care of.
