Someone stole Mrs. Shef's award-winning M&M cookies! Mrs. Shef baked her cookies at 6 p.m. on Friday evening. She had a competition the next morning in which she was going to enter her cookies. She arranged the cookies on a plate and left them safely on the table while she went to visit her elderly neighbor Ethel.

When Mrs. Shef returned from visiting Ethel (around 8 p.m.), the cookies were gone! There was no time to bake more before the competition the next morning. Mrs. Shef was devastated. She remembered that down the street lived a young man who was currently in the police academy, learning how to become an officer. She quickly called Allen Peter Olice, A.P. to his friends, over to help her determine the culprit.
