![]() ![]() | This is a picture of a typwriter. Weird right, considering the title of this page is Lose Your Mind. Well, that's just an attention grabber. This site is actually about being a young writer in college, an aspiring artist, which I guess in a way is like losing your mind. The typewriter, the first real step towards our modern day computers, revolutionized writing in a way that pioneered our keyboards and desktops and printers now! It helped shape what writing is capable of today, a symbol of how far we have come in our days of writing with a quill and ink, to ink and a mechanical buttons that stamped the letters onto a paper, to our electronic devices that we have today. To the right, you'll find an infinite swirl that you can get lost in. A symbol of going down the rabbit hole, delving into the depths of your mind to find the creative power that is in all of us. The darkest thoughts that can only be written out in fictional form, for fear of being judged by others otherwise. That's what the rabbithole is and that's one of the biggest keys to becoming a great author: embracing the rabbithole and diving in headfirst. | ![]() |
So now you're probably wondering what I was rambling about above with the typewriter. This is a website for young authors like myself. Kids that are wanting to become a writer but not knowing where to start. It's for those authors that have major writers block and can't seem to break out of it and need that little push to get them kicked off. It's for those of us that just want to know that there are others like us out there wanting to make their dreams a reality and want to have the validation that we are doing something productive with our lives instead of sitting around, staring at a computer screen with words splattered on the page whilst trying to paint a picture for our audience. Above you'll find four different links that are indeed clickable and will transport you to different parts of my mind. The first the home page, which is what we're on now. Nothing really spectacular here, except for my contact information which you will find at the very bottom of this page and this little blurb. Next is the experiences tab, which is where I'll be talking of my own experiences as a writer, what I've done, what I've gone through over the course of my "career", which isn't really that long, and some things I have learned along the way. After that is Tips and Tricks, which goes along with experiences. It'll connect by me giving some what I think are helpful tips to those who are looking for them. Finally, there's prompts which are of my own creation that can hopefully will help kickstart your beautiful brains and get the creative juices flowing and those fingers tapping away at the keyboard or smearing the ink across your notebook paper. |
