Hello fellow hunters. My name is Steve Tuls. I've been hunting the Great Lakes area for the past 9 years, which goes back to before I was even old enough to carry a shotgun. I'm a college student right now at Grand Valley State University. Even though I'm a student, which I work hard at, I also find a lot of time to hunt ducks and geese. I'm from Holland, but I'm living in Allendale presently. I hunt mainly marshes that I  can find away from the crowds, which doesn't happen very often, or I hunt bigger water. I've been hunting a lot of divers lately because it's fast and active, and I don't have to worry about too much pressure on the birds.

I've been calling since I was 12 ( now 20 ) and know the ropes quite well. I met Shawn Stahl last year at a waterfowl expo in Port Sheldon, and he was nice enough to help me out in learning how to use my larnyx.  I've always loved to play around with calls, but now I am really getting into the more expensive calls. I've posted the calls that I have started with and also some of the calls that I intend to buy or get for Christmas....HINT HINT.

Aside from being a hunter, I am also a fisherman in the spring and summer. I fish in the spring for steelhead and brown trout, and once it warms up, I fish for mostly bass and pike. Anything else I catch is always fun too. I am also on the crew (rowing) team at Grand Valley. It's a very interesting sport, not like any other. It conflicts a lot with my hunting schedule, but I find ways to get around that.
