My Duck and Goose Call Choices

Duck Calls

Buck Gardner Signature Series Call
This is my " Go To " call. It is made of Lexan so it is much cheaper in price than acrylics, but has all of the same qualities of sound. This is a single reed call, so know how to use your larnyx. This call starts at about $25 and runs to about $50.

SR-91 Super Raspy Duck Call(close range)
The call that I use when the birds have come closer to check things out is the SR-91 call made by Olt. It is an inexpensive double reed that has very nice tone. It costs about $16.

Lohman Diver Call
I use this call during the late season over my diver spreads. Again, a different call, but not difficult to learn or use. The prices have been found from 6.99-16.99 for the same call, so look before you buy one.

Goose Calls

*Goose calls are very different than duck calls. I would suggest experimenting with cheaper calls and learning how to use your larnyx before you buy an expensive call such as an acrylic.

Foiles Migrator Straight Meat Call
This is my call of choice. I don't have one yet, but that should be quite soon. This is an advanced call, not for the beginner, unless you like a big challenge. It requires the use of your larnyx, but is definitely worth the effort. This call costs $150.

Tim Grounds Half Breed Call
This is the call I use at closer ranges. This call takes some time in getting used to, and is like an acrylic, but has a great natural honk. This call is less expensive than the acrylics, but still is in the $50-60 range.
